You might not exactly know what a QR Code (Quick Response Code) is just yet, but chances are very good you have already seen them popping up on just about everything imaginable. A QR Code is a two dimensional bar code that smart phones can read and redirect you to a website, further information on a product or to make a purchase right on the spot. Implementing the QR Code's into our daily lives is still in its infancy as the advertising world is just now beginning to grasp what's possible by creating your own QR Codes. There are lots of sites on the Internet where you can make a QR Code for your Business, but only Scan.Me has what it takes to get on the Shark Tank Show.

Scan.Me (talk about the perfect domain name) not to be confused with ScanMe.com, was first conceived by Garrett Gee when he made an educated guess the IPhone 2 would come with a built-in camera. Gee first envisioned making the Top 10 List of New Apps for the IPhone which comes with a lot of free publicity online, but first needed to develop a "Must Have App" on the cutting edge of the smartphone technology.

What do you do when you have a hole in a screen and buy a screen patch kit that just doesn't work? If you're an entrepreneurial spirited family like Hooks, you create a brand new way to apply the Screen Mend and take it to the Shark Tank Show.

The Screen Mend invention was inspired by a very observant 9 year old girl by the name of Lily Hooks helping her Dad fix a hole in their screened porch. The problem was the screen patches just didn't have strong enough self-adhesive to stick to the screen which resulted in a poor quality made product.

While Lily's Dad Brad Hooks was becoming frustrated trying to fix holes in the screens with these cheap patches and contemplating getting the entire screen porch re-screened by a professional, little Lily happened to be scraping candle wax off the porch table. She observed when candle wax hardens; it also has the ability to hold things together. As with most Successful Entrepreneurs trying to solve a problem with new a creative solution, Brad's little Daughter simply say's "why don't you put candle wax on the screen patch"?
