Shark Tank Season 5

Season 5 of the Shark Tank Show

Premieres Friday September 20, 2013 on ABC
Season 5 Sharks
Great news Shark Tank Fans! ABC has finally announced Season 5 of the Shark Tank Show will start in two months on 9/20/2013. Many people had predicted (including myself) the show would be moved this season to a more preferred time slot and a different day of the week with more potential viewers watching.

As it turns out the Shark Tank will keep it's familiar time slot @ 9 P.M. (eastern) on Friday Night's where it has dominated the rating's most of last season. I'm not sure why they would choose to keep one of their most Successful Shows on probably the worst night of the week, but then again new episodes have even made me change my plans to accommodate that time.

I would imagine having the Shark Tank air on Friday Night's instead of any other night of the week is might be that viewers have all weekend to visit the contestants websites.

Chef Big Shake Update

Big Chef Shake on Shark Tank

Shrimp Burgers Season 2 - episode 201 - Update
Chef Big Shake doing some serious grillin of His Shrimp Burgers
Shawn Davis (aka Chef Big Shake)
One of Shark Tank's Most Successful Entrepreneurs
The Original Shrimp Burgers first appeared on the Shark Tank Show on March 20, 2011 when Shawn Davis (aka Chef Big Shake) was one of the first contestants in Season 2. The Shrimp Burgers came in 4 different flavors including Teriyaki, Jalapeno, Cajun and the Original which was sold under the CBS Foods Business that Shawn was the proud owner of.

Big Chef Shake came into the Shark Tank looking for a $200,000.00 investment for a 25% equity stake in the CBS Foods Brand. At that time Davis already sold over 22,000 Shrimp Burgers grossing around $30k. His ultimate goal was to get his products into Grocery Stores around the entire country. A very ambitious goal considering how much CBS Foods was currently doing in sales, but with the Sharks help, Chef Big Shake was certain he could make his dream into a huge success.

Most of the Sharks loved the Shrimp Burgers but for one reason or another no offers were made for the CBS Foods Business and Shawn left with no deal. What seemed like a risky deal for the Sharks turned into a fantastic deal for a few Angel Investors watching the Show.

This is the very first business started by Marc Newburger & Jeffrey Simon that was featured with other Shark Tank Products before they were even featured on the show. Obviously this is a major problem for millions of Drivers and boy have their numbers proved it. Before their presentation with the Sharks, over a quarter of a million units had already been sold with over $1.3 million in sales.

    Steve Jobs on Dragons Den

Steve Jobs Classic Pitch on Dragons Den

U.K. Version of the Shark Tank Show
Back in 2010 before the iPad became a household name, Steve Jobs the CEO of Apple, needed to raise some much needed capital to fund his new invention. At the time the US Dollar was at a disadvantage to the Euro, so Steve packed his bags in search of a Angel Investor on the UK Dragon Den Show, our version of the Shark Tank.

The Dragons were not very nice to Jobs as one of them went out as soon as he heard the new inventions name, the iPad. Another investor tells him the novelty factor will wear out and the Apple software is O.K.ish at best.

    Shark Tank Episode 417 Update

    Shark Tank Show Episode #417

    Friday July 12, 2013

This Friday Night's Shark Tank Show was first seen earlier this year in March of 2013. Since that time, I can safely say that all four Entrepreneur's from this episode have been extremely busy and all of them have become a Huge Success in their own right. It's not very often I can say that about all the contestants seen on a single episode, but this one I most definitely can.

    Cell Helmet Update:

The Cell Helmet is a cellphone case that comes with a guarantee if anything should ever happen to your iPhone. If your cell phone does get damaged while inside the Cell Helmet, they will either fix it or replace it with a brand new iPhone.  The Sharks did find a few holes in their business plan and as a result did not invest in this business. Bad Mistake!

I thought the cell phone insurance was Great Idea then and I think it's even a better one now. Since appearing on the Shark Tank, Cell Helmet sales are up over 1000% with several hundred retail stores now interested in carrying this very creative new business model.

    Pork Barrel BBQ
    Sample Pack
The name might have pork in it but the sauces and rubs tastes just as good on chicken and beef as well. In fact these sauce's will make every kind of meat taste better. The best advise for anyone that goes in front of the Sharks with a food product, is to get them fed as soon as possible. That's exactly what Heath and Brett did wasting little time handing out samples of the Pork Barrel BBQ sauce. The entire Shark Tank loved the Pork Barrel immediately.

Magnetic Refrigerator Skins - Season 1 Episode 15 - Update
Refrigerator Fridge Fronts season 1, episode 15
    Jan Augenstein Demonstrates the
Fridge Fronts on the Shark Tank Show
The Magnetic Fridge Fronts is a really cool invention that turns any of your appliances (Refrigerators, Stoves, Washing Machines or any large metal surface) into a work of art. In a matter of just a few minutes you can transform your kitchen into a brand new look using any number of picture perfect scene's.

Jan Augenstein came into the Shark Tank needing a $100,000.00 for a 30% stake in the Fridge Front Business. She got her inspiration for this now patented idea when Jan was a Military wife living on Base and wanted an inexpensive way to spruce up the kitchen. It was such a good idea that Jan's Brother partnered with her and so far has sunk $250,000.00 into getting this business off the ground.

Jan brings out a less then desirable looking refrigerator and proceeds to completely transform the front in a matter of seconds. The magnetic backing can easily be taken right off and replaced with a very impressive list of other fridge fronts already to choose from. In 2005 Augenstein had her invention on Sky Mall catalog where they did $40,000.00 in sales, but it cost them $18k to occupy that space which ran them into the red.

In 2008 the Queen of the Kitchen, Rachael Ray ran an episode where the Fridge Fronts were featured on her TV show in front of millions of viewers. Read More Here-->>>

Megan Cummins on the Shark Tank
Robert Herjevic closes Deal with Megan Cummins
    During the Shark Tank Show
The You Smell Soap Brand was started by Megan Cummins to bring new luxury soap into the market. What started out as a College project on custom packagin turned into the You Smell Soap Brand which she had two distinct scents made into 1200 bars of soap to test the market. She clearly states the company is in "Pre-Venture Stage" with no sales to speak of. The luxury soap was sent to different outlets around the world to test the market and come up with a price point for this luxury item. With several interested stores, Urban Outfitter's was the largest Company interested in perhaps carrying the You Smell Soap Brand.
    You Smell Luxury Soap
Megan then brings out other invention which is You Smell Paper Soap. It's as you guessed it, soap on a convenient piece of paper and packaged as a convenient way to clean up, not to mention a great impulse buy sitting on store counters.

Did you miss Ellen DeGeneres on the Shark Tank Show during Season 4? Well Ellen DeGeneres the talk show host from the Ellen Show is now an official Shark.

She starts her new career with a familiar episode featuring the Wired Waffles in Season 4 where Roger Sullivan is looking for an investment in his caffeine spiked waffles.
